Google Trends:

Include your topic, and your two brands.  Include the search terms with your screen capture.

Google Trends Insights:

The topic my group and I chose was “Footwear”. The two brands I received were Puma and Under Armour. Placing both brands in Google Trends and observing this data from the past 12 months in Canada, I have noticed that Under Armour is more popular than Puma. They did have almost the same interest over time during March 5th to March 11th. Under Armour continues to lead going into the winter of 2017.

Summary:

Brand A’s strengths are:
They provide a strong website that is easy to use. It gets straight to the point when it comes to where apparel is located for men and women. It is a well known company with plenty of stores world wide that provide basic and advanced needs for athletes.

Brand B’s strengths are:
Under Armour’s advertising has been amazing. Promoting their product on social media and T.V. They project plenty of ads that show consumers that they use science behind their products and create perfect apparel to appeal to consumers. They also have a website that is easy to go through with multiple tabs showing you specific things consumer may need.

Areas that need improvement:
Both brands need to reduce the information provided on their websites. Yes, information can be advantageous to a consumer, but the cons is that consumers like to get in and out, so these brands need to make their websites less busy and more easy.

Conclusion:

Include a conclusion that outlines which brand has the strongest SEO and performed best though the audit.  Were there any surprises?

I believe that Under Armour has the strongest SEO and performed the best through the audit. They have a faster loading webpage with 1.54 seconds, but also have a more visual website which could intrigued users. What is surprising is that they are more popular in Canada, but not worldwide.
