Introduction

Introducing our blog:

Hello and welcome to Blessed Footwear Blog
We are a team of 3 males and 1 female in a Social Media Marketing class providing information about a variety of top footwear brands.

Our goal is to provide as much information as possible for the brands provided so you, our readers can be fully informed!

The brands we will be posting about:

I am Shaun Lasala. I'll be providing information for Under Armour and Puma! I chose these two brands because I find Under Amour's marketing very strong compared to other brands. Puma was also my choice because many people find them as underdogs and I wanted to support this company so consumer believe they are one of the top apparel brands in the world.

Hello Viewers, I'm Taylor and ill be exploring the shoe brands Crocs, and Adidas with you this semester. Adidas is one of my favourite shoe brands when taking into account comfort, style and performance, this is why i chose them. I also chose crocs because i'm interested in learning about the "Fad" that was the croc slip on. Comparing a market heavy hitter, to a Fad oriented slip on shoe company that makes you ask the question: "What are those!?"

Adidas Vs Crocs Facebook Showdown

Adidas use of the 50/50 rule is strong due to the brand using the same theme “Here to create” while presenting it in new and different ways such as videos, pictures and cover photos.

The Most successful post on this platform within the 25 post range is a promotional video presenting the common slogan and hashtag #HereToCreate with 727K Views and 220 Shares and 3,420 likes.

A common theme throughout Adidas posts is classifying different types of lifestyles in which their shoes should be worn. These classifications are; Athlete, Freak and Creator embodied by the three professional athletes that appear the most in their posts.

Crocs use of the 50/50 Rule is also strong utilizing constant celebrity personalities: John Cena, Drew Barrymore and Henry Lau in different media forms including picture posts, videos and behind the scenes videos. They also promote a positive self-image campaign which is centered around Mrs. Barrymore.

These different forms of promotion maintaining constant themes while being presenting in new and different ways indicated their social media team knows what they are doing.
The most successful post on this platform within the 25 post range is a # ComeAsYouAre social campaign video featuring the three celebrity representatives. This post has 905: Views, 71 shares and 500 likes.

Adidas has a much larger presence on every level within this platform. Using the the 50/50 rule and maintaining high production quality keeps Adidas thriving. While Crocs use the 50/50 rule it isn’t as evident and the production quality in their promotional posts are lacking.

Social Media Promotion Content Idea for Adidas

This is a Student-concept for a Sheridan Pilon School of business Digital Marketing Course.

 By: Taylor F

The following is a social media campaign designed for Adidas. Upon multiple social media platforms Adidas uses professional athletes at the top of their respective sports to endorse the different shoes. My Idea is to use these professional athletes are create a weekly expose in which the top athlete would meet, practice with and present a years sponsorship to a rising amateur athlete in the same sport. This promotion would be rolled out on youtube in the form of weekly 3.5 minute videos. Tripling the average length of their posts while maintaining the same familiar spokespeople and #HereToCreate themes will strengthen the 50/50 rule by maintaining familiar faces in a different fresh outreach form.
The goal of this promotion is to bridge and gap between amateur and professional sport, making top shoe models more accessible to the up and coming generation. This also fosters the Adidas community as to qualify the amateur would have to post a video on YouTube and twitter totaling one minute showing off how they develop their respective skills. The main hashtags linking together this promotion would be #WatchMeGrow and #AdidasAlwaysAdvance.

This promotion would be launched in the spring, 3 months for applicants to post in which twitter and Facebook posts would mention the hashtags and possible sponsorship, and one more month for a weekly video release schedule.

Sample applicant Twitter Post:
@Adidas This is my #AdidasAlwaysAdvance aplication video; check these skills out! #WatchMeGrow  ( Link to video posted by applicant )

Sample Video Concept for a weekly release: James Edward Harden Jr. a basketball star sponsored by adidas visits an inner city basketball of an applicant. Within the video he runs a practice for the kids, and then awards a shoe and uniform sponsorship to the selected applicant and his team.
