Crocs Vs Adidas SEO Battle.

SEO AUDIT
Written by:  T.F
Introduction
As marketers we rely on SEO to ensure that our potential consumers are receiving the right information, and are being directed to the right content online that is relevant to the keywords searched. Without SEO we would have no way to know how relevant the information or links are to what we were searching. Using SEO means a stronger brand exposure, sales and social media presence.

Google Trends:

Google Trends Insights:
Crocs and adidas were entered into the google trends generator. Adidas is the dominant force between the two as there is hardly any search traffic for crocs. This is surprising to me because the source coding on the crocs website was very well organized and keywords were present.
Latent Semantic Indexing Keywords:
Generate a list of LSI keywords from the LSIGraph Keyword Generator.  Search your sites and identify any LSI Keywords that you can find on either of your brands’ sites.  Target at least 3 per brand.

Adidas LSI Words:
adidas store
adidas stock germany
adidas coupon
Crocs Key words:
aldi clogs 2016
holzclogs
( These were the only two keywords that are semi-english, and non of the foreign words generated were relevant)
Summary:
Adidas strengths are: Strong brand recognition with a wide range of keywords directly linked to their content.
Crocs strengths are: Well written source coade, organized and direct key words and phrasing.
Areas that need improvement: Adidas needs to put more emphasis on their product lines, and possibly add a dedicative on sale or coupon tab. Furthermore they MUSt add in actual social media icons.
Crocs must retaink their keyword strategy as it did not see much success when compared to the generator.
The keyword sentences found on the sites were:  Shop New Arrivals, Find the right shoe for your sport, Find the perfect Shoes
Conclusion:
Adidas has a visually appealing website however the “Busyness” of the homepage take away from its product line tabs. Furthermore the fact that there are no social media icons and only a hyperlinked textbook is shocking to me. Crocs on the other hand has a very well structured site in general , right down to the source code and social media placement. However judging by the google trends information and LSI breakdown, they are struggling with keyboarding and phrases.
